Ofishial Foods – delivering frozen ready meals

Published: October 13th, 2020

Meet the Ofishial Foods Team.

We make delicious cooked meals from our kitchen on the edge of the Cotswolds.  There is no charge for our ready meals to be delivered to your door in our local area. Which we deliver to 5 days a week, each area is on a designated day. We also distribute nationwide but this is via courier.

Debbie our office manager is the first point of contact for many of our customers. She processes all the orders for our ready meals, and every week works through a call list to see if our regular customers wish to order for home delivery. This is a service that we offer, as some of our customers might forget to order otherwise! She also helps with the packing of the orders and fills in when the delivery drivers are away. Debbie was one of the first people to be employed by Dorothee along with one chef. Before coming to Ofishial Foods, Debbie was the warehouse manager for a logistics company. Her favourite cooked meals she buys for her husband are Liver and Bacon and Faggots and Mash, both these are very popular traditional meals are rich in iron which is important for healthy blood.

Ofishial Directors.

Dorothee one of our directors started the company about 6 years ago after running her own restaurant. Along with John (our other director) she comes up with the ideas for new dishes, and they spend many enjoyable hours doing research. They might look for inspiration by trying out new recipes at home or by visiting local establishments (Covid allowing!).  Before joining the company John worked in logistics. This was for a well-known distribution company. John is the oracle for all our postal customers and the routes for our own drivers. Johns favourite dishes are our Thai Red Curry and the traditional Mince and Dumplings, whilst Dorothee prefers the Beef Goulash or the Pork Schnitzel.  All these dishes are packed full of flavours. The Pork Schnitzel – which was new to the brochure this year is proving to be a best seller.

This year due to Covid, John and Dorothee have been turning their hand to photography and have had to build a studio, we reckon they have done a pretty good job of it.

The suppliers are an equally important part of the team and our two main suppliers are quite local to us. Our meat comes from Barry the Butcher in Stratford upon Avon. Our fresh fruit and vegetables comes from Pershore produce in the Vale of Evesham. A couple of our other suppliers are Belazu, from whom we get certain pastes such as chermoula (a marinade used in Morroccan style cooking) and Geo Watkins who we get our mushroom ketchup from – we use this in Gourmet Cottage Pie and Steak and Kidney Casserole among other dishes.
