November 14th was World Diabetes Day. Here at Ofishial Foods we have a great selection of low sugar frozen ready meals which many of our customers with special dietary requirements love to choose from. Of course, those suffering from diabetes also have to be careful with their carbohydrate in take as well.  When carbs breakdown they convert into sugar. So, dishes that are topped with mashed potato convert into sugars much more quickly. Because by mashing the potato it has already started to break the carbohydrates down.

Low Sugar Meals.

Head over to our website to see the full list of our low sugar ready meals available for home delivery. Meanwhile here are a few to whet your appetite.

Butter Chicken Curry, this is one of our most cooked meals it has a beautiful creamy sauce flavoured with some deliciously aromatic spices. It is also gluten free as well. Another curry that is gluten free and low sugar is our Chicken Korma. This is another mild curry with a hint of mango and a crunch of pan roasted almond flakes. If you’re a fan of spicey food have a look at our other curries as well.

If you are a fan of fish how about trying the Salmon in Lemon Sauce this dish is so popular – the sauce is not as rich as a hollandaise that is often served with fish. There are many other fish dishes to choose from as in fact the whole range is low in sugar. So how about trying the Seafood Lasagne – delicious layers of fish and spinach in a tomato sauce between layers of pasta topped with melted cheese. Or if you fancy something a little lighter on the palette try Cod in Parsley sauce this traditional dish is served with broccoli and diced potatoes.
